Deciding between 08 Ranger vs 08 4Runner

I'm looking at two cars this weekend to replace my 97 4runner:

08 Ford Ranger Sport, 156k miles for $9k

08 4Runner Limited, 169k miles for $15k

Both have similar clean carfaxes, etc. I am in a HCOL city and would say the price for each are in line with the low end of the used market here. Obviously I like paying less money, but there is familiarity comfort with the 4runner, the limited trim is nice, and has more passenger versatility. On the other hand the Ranger gives me more cargo versatility and while longer is smaller in all other aspects. Both seem to have good reliable engines.
