Based on what we’ve seen, how do we think Rebirth is going to rank among the other movies? + theories

I’m trying to be optimistic, but brutally honest at the same time.

My current ranking is in the release order, so here’s how it fits in:

  1. Jurassic Park (10/10)

  2. The Lost World (8.5/10)

  3. Jurassic Park III (8/10)

  4. Jurassic World (8/10)

  5. Rebirth (7/10)

  6. Fallen Kingdom (6.5/10)

  7. Dominion (3/10)

Why so low? I know we’ve only seen the trailer, but based on that, it still seems kinda Hollywood-ish. It’s probably just trying to cater to a huge audience and is using the humor-during-action thing that the last two movies did. They keep talking about how serious of a movie it’s going to be, and I’m not gonna judge until I’ve seen it all, but I didn’t see much of that in the trailer. The action looks pretty great, but I don’t just want these big, grand, action scenes with tons of stuff happening like the last few movies. I want Lost World-type, intense, tight scenarios, where a main character might die.

It definitely looks more violent, which I love to see. Plot-wise, I’m kinda not sure. Again, we haven’t seen it, so I can’t really judge. However, it seems like it’s gonna do things similar to Fallen Kingdom for the story, mixed with JPIII elements. An illegal operation for a good cause, a little kid getting mixed in, genetic secrets and a monster creature. Sounds familiar. I think there’s gonna be some double-cross situation with BioSyn involved, or maybe secret InGen work from a time we never saw on screen before. The new logo for InGen hints at the facilities being built before the 90s or after The Lost World.

A relation to Dr. Wu and his secret work in 1999 with BioSyn on Sorna. The new InGen logo was maybe made around this time as a way to rebrand the company for the 21st century. However, this seems like the facilities are MUCH more recent. First of all, the old InGen logo was still being used by the company in 2015 during Jurassic World. Second, the facility seems to have been used recently, with lights and power still working. That place is not abandoned.

I think the movie is gonna be a lot more creepy than the trailer demonstrates. The themes from the original trilogy are going to be present again too, with the genetic power thing.
